Sariel is an archangel of the Lord, whose name translates to "officer of God". He's a benevolent angel of death and a healer who tends to spend more time walking the Earth than in Heaven. This has led to friction among the angels, as some wonder if he's as dedicated to his Father as the rest of them.

Point taken from canon timeline, or nature of AU-ness: Sariel, as I play him, is much more of a sympathetic figure than traditional angels. He is very much "here to help", whether that comes in the form of a peaceful end or healing or even just someone to talk to. However, he's not as properly holy and clean as most angels. He finds himself getting into relationships (close friendships, usually) with mortals that go beyond the requirements of his duty. While he has yet to get into trouble for them officially, there's definitely some tension and concern in the ranks.

Brief Personality Description: Sariel is thoughtful and slow to anger. While he doesn't have a full understanding of how mortal emotions work (in particular, hatred and disgust), he is able to pass among them with ease.

Brief History: Sariel came into being on the first day of Creation, one of the archangels called upon to organize and aid the other angels with their heavenly duties. He was the angel who explained the meaning of the ladder-dream to Jacob. He was also the angel who retrieved Moses' soul when it was time for him to die. Recently, his duties have been to walk the earth as a healer and angel of death in human guise.
